CHAIRMAN WANG's in ALABANG

High ceilings, wooden furniture and Chinese Art. These and a lot more led me to believe that I am in one of those ancient tea houses found in China. In reality, I just came from Tagaytay and I wanted a quick bite in Alabang on the way home.
Say hello to CHAIRMAN WANG'S
It was a hot and humid day. So, I got their LEMON GINGER ALE (95/180Php)
Lemon Juice, Soda water, sliced lemon, fresh ginger, honey, mint leaves. Not too sweet but definitely refreshing!

The CRISPY SALT & PEPPER MUSHROOM (180Php) was something to munch on.
Although, it looked perfectly cooked, i couldn't help but taste a bit of extra frying. It could have been a little over-cooked.

She wanted soup and I wanted noodles. So we compromised.

CREAM OF CORN with CRABMEAT (120/360/680Php).
She liked the hot steamy soup. Plus the use of real crab meat definitely was a plus!

I got the SZECHUAN STYLE COLD NOODLES (150Php)
I didn't expect much but it looked pretty simple and definitely not a lot! KULANG! LOL! It was spicy but it wasn't overly so. Even if they said it was cold, the chillis would heat things up. It is also noteworthy that the noodles are hand pulled and made in house.

We figured that we under ordered. So, we got the PRIME BEEF NOODLE (280Php)
The noodles were perfectly cooked and the soup was delicious. Not too heavy. The meat was pretty much okay.

We had to try desserts of course!
The CHILLED COCONUT MILK SOUP with SAGO and FRESH FRUITS (95/350/650) is totally worth the price.
Cool and sweet! That is what life is supposed to be.. and yes same goes with this dish!

Definitely, the RED BEAN PANCAKE (80Php) was also a winner!
The paste was smooth. Not too sweet just right. The pancake wasn't thick so it was easy to chew and 1 order is good for one if you don't want a fight. LOL!

Albeit pricey, they offer awesome noodle dishes. Drinks were pretty much inventive and not the usual kind. Dessert are not to be missed. Ambiance is a plus! Budget around 400Php per person.
