The Clubhouse at Magnolia

"I know I drag you guys into it but would it be fun for you if I paid for the meal?" and with that my Family happily went with me. Talk about motivation. LOL!

Somewhere hidden in a mall along Aurora, this small place, somewhat gives a chill factor. Okay, the name says it all. It's a clubhouse. The Clubhouse. In every sense of the word. I could see groups of friends, family and barkadas just chilling and enjoying each others company with a side of all day breakfast food.

For drinks, we tried out there carafe of Peach Iced Tea (170Php).
It was a bit too sweet but there was but a hint of Peach.

I wasn't really that impressed with their DIY Nachos (265Php)
The nachos were market bought and the dips were generic. I think my mom makes better nachos than this. I would suggest you skip this.

On the other hand, my family loved the salad I ordered. The Chicken and Grape Salad (295Php).
The grapes were fresh and the almonds gave that extra crunch. My only gripe was that the chicken used was somewhat similar to a chicken mayo salad. It was chunky and mayonaissey, for a lack of a better term.

I had the Pumpkin Soup (175Php).
It was not only pumpkin but also had some bacon in it. Needless to say, I love this because I love anything creamy... hmmmm creammyy.. Yes CREAMMMY.

Mom had their take on Eggs Bene. The Benny's Classic (395Php) was for me ordinary.
It lacks that oomph factor. One egg was a bit dry while the other was wet.
Dad being the overly simple guy that he is love his order of Triple Decker (325Php)
You get to choose between wheat and plain bread. The egg, cheese, ham and chicken breast worked hand in hand with each other as with any kind of a Club Sandwich.

My bro got something so not him. It was the Cheesy Chicken Parmigiana (295Php).
Although cheesy looking, the inside were a little dry. The outside stuff though helped to moist it up and the cheese really did its job.

Service was fast and quick. For an out of place restaurant (its between 2 different stores not food related), I was wowed because customers were filling up the place. I guess, it helped that it had an outside entrance and a mall one too. Budget around 400Php/person.

  1. Maybe you went on a bad day. The Benny's Classic I had was fantastic, but I skipped the desserts though.
