One quiet Sunday afternoon, after watching a movie, my family and I had a dinner date. We opted to try something different. Since my dad doesn't really eat French food (totally foreign to his taste buds), we tricked and lured him into trying this restaurant out.
When entering, the place exudes a friendly hung out for the family or a venue for a lovely date. They have couches in the back for a laid back feel and tables for those heavy dinners in front.
One of the best table in the resto..and yes they have a chef's table also if you are into watching cooking master chef!! |
With French Cuisine as their main offering, you can't help but be wowed with their menu and drink list. Simple and straight to the point.
Originally located in Makati, this restaurant was reinvented and is now around 2 years old in its present location in Greenhills.
For drinks, I would have ordered something more potent than the ice tea but I was with the parentals. So, I got a refillable glass of brewed iced tea. Sweet and refreshing.
Dad started the meal on a healthy note. So he got an order of Ceasar Salad (360Php).
Romaine, Anchovies, Bacon, Parmesan, and Croutons. Made fresh!! The anchovies gave it a little salty kick. I also tasted something fruity taste in it.
A complimentary basket of bread was also served.
Warm and soft inside. Crunchy outside
Great in siphoning out the juices from the escargot.
Yeap! We got an order of Les Escargot a la Francaise (498/958Php)
SNAILS!!!! Fresh herbs, butter and garlic.
The meat was big and the sauce was undeniably butter loaded!!! OMG! Slurpyy!
Dad went for a steak since it was one of the few things that he was familiar with. LOL!
He got the US Beef Tenderloin (1,200Php)
Served with Cauliflower Mash, Pepper sauce. It was soft and tender. Would have wanted more, according to him. It was juicy!
Mom wasn't feeling adventurous so she got Chicken Breast Fillet (498 Php)
Roasted with Rosemary and Garlic, Mashed Potato. Moist chicken meat.
It tasted like adobo according to her.
My little bro got an order of Onglet Poele (650Php).
Pan Seared Us Hanging Beef Tender, Home Made Fries and Romaine Salad. Tender, juicy and damn good. My brother finished this up! Totally! The serving size and the quality is well worth the price tag.
I, got something else, Pan Seared Foie Gras (600Php)!
Poached Pears in sweet white wine, Honey Beet Root Compote, Beet root petals, Mesclun Salad, Beet Root Gastrique.
Juicy stuff. Mix it all up and the texture plus the flavor blows in my mouth.
Of course I do not live on fatty liver alone, so I also got an order of Coquilletes (420Php)
Something like mac and cheese with bacon and ham and everything good. Yummy!!!
The place is ideal for Sunday Brunch, or a time to catch up with friends over wine and tapas.... and also maybe dinner date with a special someone. Although a bit pricey, the food quality and service makes up for it and worth every penny. Thank you so much to Kim for being knowledgeable about the different offerings on the menu. Service was fast and efficient. Budget around 750-1000Php per person if you are a heavy eater. Would definitely be back and hopefully next time, its with a date. LOL!
